This site was created for those who would like to recreate the meals I have written about in the "Around the World in 80 Meals" site. (http://80meals.blogspot.com) On that site, I describe the meals that are cooked for me by people from many different cultures...I enjoy eating those meals and I hope to shed a more positive light on the multicultural society in the Netherlands.

I'm Dutch/American, 29 years old, and love getting to know new people and new cultures. Plus I enjoy a good meal! So what better way to combine these interests than through this blog? Tigelada

Tigelada à Moda da Serra

Ingredients:
9 eggs
300 g of brown sugar
1 glass of port wine
1 liter of milk
grated peel of 1 lemon/lime
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of maizena (corn starch)

Preparations:
Beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the port, cinnamon and honey and beat well. Finally add the milk, lemon peel and corn starch. Mix all the ingredients well and put it in an oiled casserole dish, preferably clay. Bake in hot oven at 250º till the top is golden-brown.
